Event Info
Perth's premier ballet school again showcases its talented students against the dramatic backdrop of the Quarry Amphitheatre. La Bayadere, an exotic classical ballet first performed in 1877, tells of a tragic love triangle between Solor (a warrior), Nikiya (a Bayadere or temple dancer) and Gamzatti (a Rajah's daughter). Experience the genius of Petipa's hypnotic 'Kingdom of the Shades', widely acknowledged as one of the most challenging and exquisite corps de ballet sequences of all.
Produced by Dawn Weller OMSS, for 17 years Artistic Director of South Africa's State Theatre Ballet and now Director of The Graduate College of Dance, Perth.

If a performance is going to be cancelled due to inclement weather, tickets will not be refunded.
Bookings will be transferred to Rain Day performance on Sunday, 14 December.
If Rain Day performance also cancelled due to inclement weather, tickets will be refunded with refunds closing date Tuesday, 16 December.
