With Brett Dean – viola
Beethoven’s genial op.18 no.2 opens the curtain to a very special collaboration. Internationally regarded Australian violist and composer Brett Dean joins us to perform Bruckner’s monumental Quintet, a work of great profundity and solemn beauty. Brett’s own new work for Viola Quintet is conceived as a companion piece to the Bruckner, and it is a great joy to not only premiere this piece, but to perform it with the composer.
